Pageant of Poems

am i an angel
sent here to save many lives
but i'm on the edge of suicide

am i an angel
whose mission is it to cure earthly ailments
when i feel so attached to heavenly elements

am i an angel
who strings together the bonds of love and friendship
yet i can't step foot through Cupid's door

am i an angel
full of unexperienced wisdom and intelligence to pass on
failing to transition to maturity all the while

am i an angel
present for others to benefit from
giving my soul to who i see deserves extra living

am i an angel
losing himself, his wings, and eternity
for bonds of the heart, friendship and mortality

or was i an angel
bored in heaven
seeking emotions to fell

now i suffer and hurt
now i love and care

i'm no angel
i'm just human
